Lakers' LeBron James Reveals What Went Wrong in Triple-Double Night - Athlon Sports
LeBron James continues to make a mockery of “Father Time.” At 39 years old, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar forward collected yet another triple-double Saturday night during a 120-115 victory over the San Antonio Spurs at Frost Bank Center.

The four-time NBA Most Valuable Player recorded 15 points, 16 rebounds, and 12 assists in 38 minutes of action on the floor. He shot 6-for-12 from the field and added a steal. Despite yet another triple-double, James felt he could have done better, particularly in terms of scoring and taking care of the leather.

After the Spurs game, James said that he performed “like [expletive],” as he turned the ball over seven times and scored much fewer than his season average, per Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet. James walked into the Spurs game averaging 24.3 points per game on a 52.4 field goal percentage.

Still, James’ triple-double and the Lakers’ victory should get more attention than any of the errors the future Basketball Hall of Famer committed against the Spurs. James’ trip-dub versus San Antonio was his fourth in a row.

Over the last four Lakers games, James has averaged 28.5 points, 12.3 assists and 10.3 rebounds while making 58.1 percent of field goal attempts and 48.0 percent of tries from deep.
