Patrick Mahomes Makes Personal History After Chiefs-49ers
Patrick Mahomes reached a career milestone after leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. The Chiefs improved to 6-0 on the season after taking down the 49ers, 28-18, in their Week 7 showdown. Mahomes, as usual, stepped up big time despite some struggles. He rushed for one touchdown and completed 16 of his 27 passes for 157 yards with two interceptions.
As a result, Mahomes has now secured the first 6-0 start of his career, per NFL. Apparently, since arriving in the league in 2017, the Chiefs quarterback had not won six straight games to start the season.
For what it’s worth, Patrick Mahomes came close to setting a personal record in 2018 in his first year as a full-time starter for the Chiefs. He and Kansas City got to a 5-0 start before losing to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in Week 6.
Kansas City is on a mission this 2024 campaign as they look to become the first team in the NFL to win a Super Bowl three-peat. Sure enough, they are off to a great start in accomplishing that goal.
